The thermostat tells your whole system what to do, so a bad one can look like a broken air conditioner. Before you pay for a major repair, it’s worth ruling it out.
Common thermostat problems
- The display is blank or resets itself
- The system won’t start, or won’t shut off
- The temperature on the screen doesn’t match the room
- The AC short-cycles on and off
- A new smart thermostat that doesn’t work with your system’s wiring
Smart thermostat installation
Smart and programmable thermostats can lower cooling costs by easing off while you’re away and pre-cooling before you’re home. Some need a common wire (C-wire) that older systems don’t have, and heat pumps need a thermostat set up for them. We check compatibility, wire it correctly and set the schedule with you.
